Collagin’ Bloggin’

October 2014

I constantly think of all those pictures taken for special events and wonder why they are hardly ever viewed.

Take a wedding, for instance; one of the most important days in a couple’s life. They hire a photographer, select photos for an album, and maybe will have an 8×10 in a picture frame hung on the wall.  I envision their proofs selected of their memorable wedding moments, i.e., walking down the aisle, the ceremony, the first dance, the toast by the best man, the cutting of the cake, the celebration, family and friends table pictures, etc., created in a collage form to truly capture that beautiful day.

Then there is that once-in-a-lifetime trip: perhaps a 12-day European cruise or a trip to the Far East, where 200+ photos will be taken but not relived because they remain on a digital camera or will be tucked away in a photo book.

And those family reunions, a day or weekend where everyone gets together once a year to bond and catch up on each other’s lives.  So many pictures yet those memories can be seen throughout the years because they were created as a family reunion collage.

Pictures capture special moments and to be viewed all the time in a collage is priceless.

Wishing you a day filled with wonderful memories, Miriam
